Dorogi Brothers

The Dorogi winery was founded in 1997 by the two brothers Zsolt and István Dorogi, with less than one hectare of cultivated area. Before that, István Dorogi was responsible for vinification at Mártha Wille-Baumkauff's winery "Pendits" in Abaújszántó. István Dorogi is a rising star now between the young winemakers of Tokaj. He has achieved a perfect synthesis between traditional and modern style especially with his Aszú. Today the Dorogi Brothers grow vines on almost 8 hectares of cultivated area on the slopes of the Tokaji hill, in the vineyards Barát, Elöhegy, Lónyai, Thurzó, Mestervölgy, Mogyorós and Puskas, as well as the second Mezes Mály between Erdöbénye and Olaszliska.

Just Said ...

„Another glass, Watson!” said Mr. Sherlock Holmes as he extended the bottle of Imperial Tokay. ... „It is a good wine, Holmes.” - „A remarkable wine, Watson. Our friend upon the sofa has assured me that it is from Franz Josef’s special cellar at the Schoenbrunn Palace.”
